Implantation case in #25 and #26 areas
This is a 77-year-old female patient.
Her maxillary left posterior tooth was extracted due to periodontitis.
This is what it looks like about 4 months after removal
There is also a lack of buccal bone.
Allogeneic bone and xenogeneic bone were mixed and transplanted and covered with two absorbable membranes.
The soft tissue was sutured like this, and at the same time, the inner granulation tissue was turned to the outside and sutured like this.
This is a photo taken 1 week after suturing and after secondary surgery about 5 months later.
This is a pre- and post-operative radiographic shot.
This is a photo of the inside of the mouth when taking an impression.
This is a photo after the final prosthesis.Sometimes, even in cases of relatively extensive bone loss, using an absorbable membrane like this seems to produce better results.True absorbable membrane was used on the buccal palatal side and on the occlusal side.
There seems to be some difference
In this case, if bone resorption is extensive and a retainer is desired for as long a period of time as possible, I think an extended resobable membrane would be advantageous.
