Complex case of the bone grafting
This is a 63-year-old male patient. When the septa in the maxillary sinus are horizontal to the alveolar bone, bone grafting to the palatal side is often difficult during the window approach.
It was difficult to form a large window as the opening was not large and the cheek was thick. Above all, it was difficult to stop the bleeding due to continuous oozing, so it was primarily used as a window approach. This is a CT photo taken in the middle after bone grafting was performed. Also, there are symptoms of poor transplantation on the palatal side of the septa. We again attempted bone grafting by being a little more careful and peeling off the membrane a little more on the medial side.
This is another photo after bone transplantation.Bone grafting was performed more palaally. In this case, peeling could have been easier if the windows were a little larger. It was a bit difficult to implement. Implants are scheduled to be installed in 4-5 months.
