Case of delayed implantation in the area #47
The case where I decided to place an implant after extracting tooth #47. A 44-year-old female patient showed loss of alveolar bone around #47, so delayed implantation was decided.
This photo is taken about 4 months after tooth extraction. The vertical amount of alveolar bone at the implantation site is insufficient, and the shape of the alveolar bone appears lingually concave.
During placement, care was taken to avoid damaging the inferior alveolar nerve. It was placed to prevent damage to various structures on the lingual side due to excessive drilling on the lingual side. This was confirmed by taking a CT scan during surgery.
This is a photo after final implantation.
