Infection of the maxillary sinus case

Here's a case of a 51-year-old male patient.
It's been a while since she visited the hospital, and she came due to the problem in area #26.It seems that the crestal approach was probably implemented unreasonably. She received a refund for the treatment fee from a previous clinic and visited our hospital.


Once the implant was removed


As shown in the photo about a month later, the area where the implant was removed was healing, but OA fistula still remains in area #27 where the cresatal approach was attempted.But the size seems to have shrunk a bit.The patient was reassured and decided to wait a little longer.

This photo is about 4 months after removal. This is a finding that the infection of the maxillary sinus has decreased.


First, the implant was placed at the same time as the maxillary sinus membrane lift surgery.

I am currently a 55-year-old male. My oral condition has worsened over the past four years.  She planned extraction of the entire maxilla and fixed prosthetics using implants. First, the tooth was extracted and a temporary denture was installed.  Looking at the healing pattern.  Loss of buccal alveolar bone is seen.  The inferior basilar bone is rather exostotic.  There appears to be sufficient bone mass available. OssteoBionics' SBA implant was placed and submerged. We were able to obtain sufficient initial fixation for fixed temporary prosthesis.
